Our client is a dynamic global health nonprofit , dedicated to saving lives by improving patient safety in low-resource settings. We're now strengthening our financial systems for greater scale and sustainability.
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Head of Finance to provide interim senior leadership during a maternity cover period. This high-impact, part-time role combines strategic oversight, technical expertise, and capacity building to strengthen financial planning, controls, reporting, and systems—ensuring transparent, compliant, and efficient resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Act as technical finance lead on selecting and implementing a new integrated finance system
Review and strengthen priority financial policies, internal controls, and high-risk processes (e.g., procurement, payments, cost allocation)
Develop and embed a robust project costing and cost allocation framework across budgeting and reporting
Support mid-year budget revisions, multi-year projections, audits, and donor-compliant grant budgets
Create clear, decision-useful management and board reporting tools/dashboards
Deliver targeted training and mentorship to the finance team
Update the organisational risk register and contribute to key governance meetings
What We Are Looking For?
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CFA preferred)
10+ years in financial management within nonprofits or donor-funded organisations (global/multi-entity experience highly desirable)
Proven expertise in budgeting, grants management, donor reporting, and financial systems implementation (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP, Power BI)
Strong analytical, communication, and training skills
Experience in fractional/interim senior finance roles (advantageous)
Comfort working remotely and collaboratively across time zones
